Project Summary

Transport and Main Roads received $121m for the Rockhampton Northern Access upgrade and $36 million for Terranova Drive Intersection safety works on the Bruce Highway. This section of Bruce Highway, north of Rockhampton, not only serves as the national highway, but also acts as the only arterial road to service the industrial, commercial and residential developments in the vicinity of Parkhurst.

The Rockhampton Northern Access Upgrade and Terranova Drive Intersection safety works focuses on addressing safety and capacity issues between the Bruce Highway intersection with Rockhampton–Yeppoon Road and Terranova Drive, approximately 7km north of Rockhampton. Works include the duplication and upgrade of approximately 5km of the Bruce Highway including the construction of local road connections and four bridges. Early works have already commenced on site and are expected increase in 2019.

Civil Support were successful in their bid to provide the full package of contract administration services to TMR for the construction phase of the project. Civil Support assisted in the tendering, evaluation and contract award activities. The project has entered the construction phase.
