The Company’s founder, Mark Prideaux, has over 39 years’ experience in the direct supervision and project management of civil infrastructure projects gained through his career with the Queensland Department of Main Roads, Ergon Energy, Cardno Consulting Engineers, and for 13 years, as the director of Civil Support Pty Ltd.

Mark began his career as a construction supervisor and contracts inspector on a wide range of road and bridge construction projects prior to undertaking his engineering degree as a mature aged student. As an engineer, Mark has worked in various senior engineering roles responsible for the planning, design, delivery and maintenance of transport and civil infrastructure projects. Mark has also worked as a senior project manager for Ergon Energy delivering infrastructure for high voltage electricity transmission and distribution.

Mark has a depth of experience in project management, contract administration and alliance contracting. He has been the Project Manager for several successful Alliance and Partnered contracts between Public and Private sector contractors and Superintendent for the Contract on a number of significant transport infrastructure projects in Central Queensland.

His recent projects have included fulfilling the role of Contract Administrator for construction contracts to deliver the $150M Calliope Cross Roads Arterial Interchange , the $170M Yeppen South Project on the southern approach to Rockhampton, a five bridge replacement package on the Dawson Highway and the $120M 4-laning upgrade of the Rockhampton Northern Access. In addition to this Mark continues to be involved in the preconstruction activities for the delivery of design and contract documentation for significant projects like the Rockhampton Ring Road and Yeppoon Road Upgrade projects.

Peter Ung

Principal Engineer (Roads & Civil)

Peter has 20 years’ experience in both government and private industry supervising and project managing the assessment, design and construction of civil infrastructure projects within the Central Queensland area.

Peter commenced his career with the Department of Main Roads (Qld) in 2001 and furthered his civil construction experience as a Project Manager for RoadTek Asset Services. He then shifted to the private sector in 2006, joining a local engineering consultancy, working in various roles responsible for the planning, design and delivery of residential and industrial subdivisions together with transport infrastructure projects. Peter joined Civil Support in 2010 and brought with him his broad depth of knowledge in the areas of project management, contract administration, road and subdivision design, traffic engineering and construction surveillance.

Peter’s working knowledge of the technical standards, design specifications and contract administration framework, compounded with his detailed understanding of construction methodology and practices means Peter can oversee all facets of project delivery – whether it be planning, assessment, analysis, design, construction, or auditing.

He has played key roles in the delivery of several major civil infrastructure projects in both the Public and Private sectors around Central Queensland. These projects include the Gladstone Port Access Road, Yeppoon Western Bypass, Stockland Rockhampton Re-development, NDRRA, TNRP, Bruce Highway Safety Package, Rockhampton Northern Access Upgrade and the Rockhampton Ring Road.

David Guinane

Engineer (Projects)

BEng (Civil)

David has over 7 years’ experience in project management, contract administration and the delivery of civil infrastructure projects gained through his career with Gladstone Regional Council, WBHO Infrastructure and now Civil Support.

David began his career at Gladstone Regional Council in the Road Services department, where he worked in delivery of Council’s Capital Infrastructure Projects through all phases of the project, from contract and tender development, stakeholder management, to contract administration and works delivery. David later moved into a Coordinator role where he managed the delivery of Road Services annual operational maintenance program.

David also has practical experience in the delivery of TMR infrastructure projects from his time as a Site Engineer with WBHO Infrastructure delivering the Bororen to Tannum Sands Safety Upgrades and Daisy Dell Overtaking Lanes. David has experience in managing subcontractors, cost control, developing construction programs, supervision of works and implementing quality management systems.

David joined Civil Support in 2019, working as a Site Engineer on the Rockhampton Northern Access Upgrade (RNAU) project and the Angela Rd to Etna Creek Rd Safety Upgrades.

Forhadul (Sam) Hasan

Engineer (Projects)

BEng (Civil), MEng (Civil), MIEAust

Sam brings over five years of experience in project management, contract administration, and the delivery of civil infrastructure projects. He has contributed to a diverse range of projects through roles with Oxfam International, Gladstone Regional Council, the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR), and now, Civil Support.

Sam began his engineering career at Gladstone Regional Council within the Engineering Asset Solutions team, where he was involved in delivering minor works projects. He later joined TMR’s Fitzroy District, where he managed RMPC works, NDR projects, and multiple TIC-SI contracts—taking on key roles as Project Manager, Contract Administrator, and Administrator’s Representative.

During his time with TMR, Sam was responsible for managing project budgets, developing work programs, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects to a high standard. He also gained valuable site-based experience as a Site Engineer on the Yeppoon Road Upgrade Project.

Sam joined Civil Support in 2025, working as a Site Engineer on the Yeppoon Road Upgrade Project.

Jarrath Ford

Principal Project Manager (Planning & Design)

Jarrath joined Civil Support in 2018, he previously worked for Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads for 23 years with a focus on civil design and detailed planning projects within State Government.

Jarrath has managed the delivery of the Transport System Planning Program for Transport and Main Road’s Fitzroy District which included the completion of the Preliminary Evaluation for the Rockhampton Northern Access Upgrade project. Jarrath has also managed the design and preconstruction of Heavy Vehicle Rest Area projects, steel culvert strengthening and intersection upgrade projects for Fitzroy District.

Jarrath has successfully managed the Federal Government Black Spot program on behalf of Transport and Main Roads for the last 8 years and has successfully secured funding for works throughout his career.

Throughout Jarrath’s employment with Transport and Main Road’s he has completed project nominations for various state and federal nomination rounds including Bridge Renewal Program, Royalties for Regions, Nation Building Program, Heavy Vehicle Action Plan and Northern Australian Roads Program.

James (Jimmy) Allan

James Allan is a highly experienced civil construction professional with more than 15 years’ experience delivering major transport and infrastructure projects across Queensland and New South Wales.

With a background that spans local and state government, civil contracting, and consultancy, James has built an extensive portfolio of projects including road and bridge upgrades, high-pressure water mains, stormwater infrastructure, box culverts, and environmental rehabilitation works. His career has seen him progress from hands-on field supervision through to senior management, giving him a well-rounded understanding of all aspects of project delivery—from design and scoping through to completion and handover.

James has managed and supervised projects for a range of clients including Transport for NSW, Rockhampton Regional Council, Bathurst Regional Council, Orange City Council, and the NSW Department of Primary Industries (Soil Conservation Service). Notable projects include the Mount Morgan Water Pipeline, Clergate Road Industrial Upgrade, and multiple mine rehabilitation and bridge construction packages throughout regional NSW.

A strong advocate for quality and compliance, James has extensive experience with MRTS, RMS, and TMR specifications, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and contract administration processes under frameworks such as GC21 and TIC-CO. He has led multidisciplinary teams on projects exceeding $60 million in value, consistently achieving high safety, environmental, and quality performance outcomes.

James is known for his practical approach, clear communication, and commitment to fostering collaboration between clients, contractors, and councils. His leadership style focuses on building capable teams, mentoring staff, and maintaining accountability to deliver projects that are efficient, compliant, and durable.
